It was our true pleasure to organize the High-Level Forum on the Silver Economy on 9-10 July 2019, in the Finlandia Hall, Helsinki, as a part of the official programme of the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The Finnish EU Council Presidency ended at 31.12.2019.
The Forum was driven by the positive approach towards longevity and the consequent demographic change. The Forum debated ageing policies in Europe and globally; addressed a variety of pressing needs resulting from the demographic change; showcased digital and other technologies and new business models; brought together policy makers and businesses active in the Silver Economy to discuss and explore future trends; and also showcased ageing policies and action worldwide for the global audience.
The Forum brought together more than 70 high-level speakers, 600 participants and over 3000 on-line viewers . They represented national and international political decision-makers and public officials, representatives of international organisations, experts and researchers, significant business operators mainly from Europe, Asia and North America, as well as non-governmental organisations.
You can find plenty of information in these web pages, including three background papers.
The Forum contributed also to the Council Conclusions on the Economy of Wellbeing, adopted in October at the EPSCO Council. https://data.consilium.europa.eu/doc/document/ST-13432-2019-INIT/en/pdf

For the first-time ever, this high-level Forum brings together business and government to illuminate the progress and challenges inherent in this global demographic change. The program features innovative, thought-provoking and action-oriented conversations with, and between, leading policy makers, NGOs, academics and the private sector operators of best-in-class commercial entities.
