Timo Strandberg is MD, PhD, Professor of geriatric medicine, University of Helsinki and Helsinki University Hospital
Specialist in geriatric medicine and in internal medicine. Member of the Executive Committee (2019 – 2023) of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics for the European Region and the Chair of its Clinical Section. Past President, European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS)

Research interests: Geriatrics, cognitive disorders, frailty, cardiovascular diseases and their prevention, quality of life in old age, successful ageing.
Over 400 scientific publications listed in PubMed. Investigator in FINGER and SPRINTT studies.
